Photography
This photo was created with little lighting helping to create and ominous atmosphere. Jack is centrally framed to be able to split the photograph into 2 diffident sides, each have unique vertical lines to begin with there was problem with getting the camera in focus which was then solved my adjusting the focus manually
when taking this photo the brightness was adjusted to be able to get Reians face lit up. He was standing on a chair to be able to get more height while i was sitting on the floor to get the high angle shot. The camera was also zoomed in slightly.
This photo had to be retaken as the first time you could only see me in the reflection and not me looking at myself. The brightness of this photo was adjusted slightly making the room look darker.
Due to the rain the camera had to be kept in shelter so the camera had to be zoomed in to be able to get a better photo. The rain creates a unique effect and this was able to be more clear when the focus was played with to be able to get the lines of rain
This photo was taken portrait which helps keep the focus to the tree and main photo instead of the background which would be unnecessarily space. The tree also produces a small shadow over Reian. He is also centrally framed. The natural lighting helps the make the colours pop out more eg: the greens of the tree
Jack is framed on the left side allowing for multiple layers to be created of the brick walls and the rainy background which contrasts the brown colours. The natural lighting slightly put the left side of Jacks face in shadow. The black pipe splits the image from artificial walls to natural rain. I took this photo landscape as it offers more room for you to see the wall and the rain.
Excellent set of images, together with your analyses.
ReplyDeleteYes - manual focus really is the way out of many problems - you'll need to use it today.
Good solution to the lighting problem on Reian - but has the composition been compromised?
Bathroom shot ambitious; could you have adjusted either the camera position or the figure to make the image in the mirror more of a silhouette?
Yes - how to capture rain is a big issue. In movies, it's usually created and controlled artificially, and lit at an angle which makes it more apparent.
Both the tree shot and the previous one would have gained from what we'll try to achieve today - a narrow depth of field.
The split shot with Jack is a real success - excellent composition; good pose; beautiful capture of natural light - well done.
